When’s the first office chair

The first office chair can be traced back to the mid-19th century. In 1849, a chairmaker named Charles Darwin invented a chair specifically designed for office use. This chair was made of wood and had a swivel seat, casters, and adjustable height. However, it wasn’t until the 20th century that the modern office chair we know today, with its ergonomic design and features, was developed.
